About John Heinz
John Heinz, a combat disabled veteran, served in Vietnam as an Army field medic in 1965-66. As a flying enthusiast he flew competition aerobatics in his Citabria and of late owned a Kitfox light sport aircraft. In addition to flying, his pastimes include motorcycles and golf. He is a blues (harp) musician and also plays the Navaho double flute. He's a member of the Society of the 173d Airborne Brigade, Inc.; the Dustoff Association, Wright Flyers, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He lives in the Tucson, Az area with his dog, Buckshot.
